Today

I am reminded that I am truly happy.

I am reminded that I am independent

I am reminded that I am strong

I am reminded that I am able to do anything I set my mind to

Today

The pain in my shoulders reminds me, that this week; I pushed my wheelchair 45 miles, swam 30,000 meters and moved 1093 pounds of weight.  “Why” you ask?  Because my dream of being a Paralympic medalist is now within my reach.

I am reminded that friends will come and go.  The girlfriends and sometimes the wives.

I am reminded that your TRUE friends will always be there.

Today

I am reminded that a great man passed away long before any of us were ready to let him go

I am reminded that was God’s plan for him

I am reminded that God has a plan for all of us and it is our job to seek that plan and follow it.

Even though he isn’t physically here anymore, he resides in my heart.  He picks me up when I fall.  He gives me strength when I’m weak.  He focuses me when my mind goes astray.

I am reminded that I must live each day to the maximum because,

Hello everyone.  I leave one week from tomorrow to the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing.  I will be posting almost daily from here forward so everyone can keep track of my progress.  Thanks for your support.
